Our firm covers a wide variety of areas. Having the ability to place yourself in the shoes of others is one of the keys to helping people navigate the complicated legal arena. My focus is on personal injuries, real estate and estate planning.

Professional History

I have been in preventive medicine  for over 20 years as a chiropractor.  My practice was located in Truckee, where I served thousands of patients with care and compassion. I was a case manager for a busy allographic stem cell clinic. In this clinical setting, I participated in a revolutionary new procedure for regenerative medicine. I hold licenses for chiropractic in California and Nevada. I am a continuing education proctor for a highly respected group in California. I teach billing, coding, law, ethics and practice protection.

Education

I am a product of Tahoe/Truckee region and all it has to offer. After graduation from Truckee High School, I was given the opportunity to play football for the University of Oregon. While at Oregon, I focused my studies in Pre-med. In 1998 I started at the prestigious Palmer West Chiropractic College. I earned my Doctor of Chiropractic. Twenty years later I graduated from Lincoln Law School in Sacramento earning my Juris Doctor Law Degree.

Personal

What drove me to return to school after twenty years was the tragic death of my father, Dennis Fertitta. He was killed  while returning home from work on his motorcycle. A couple of weeks before his death he told me while we were watching the Notre Dame vs Nevada football game that life was not about quantity it was about quality. While those simple little words meant nothing to me at the time, they were particularly poignant on 9/23/09 when he saw his last sunrise.
Having lived my entire life in the most beautiful place on earth, I feel very fortunate to have contributed to this great community. For the past twenty years I have served as a health care provider and now in the legal field. My wife and I have raised our two boys who are now young men into being people who respect the world around them and give back to it. I am compelled to help people, it is in my DNA.
